Sponsor my résumé
Hi! 👋 I’m My real name is Jake but I go by starl3xx most places online. I got laid off in October, which means my résumé is about to land in quite a few inboxes. So: I’m selling ad space on it.
Counterintuitive? Yes. Counterproductive? Maybe. But I’m a creative marketer and producer at heart, so consider this a work sample. Plus, I have bills to pay (rent, Claude Pro Max).

I write, direct, and produce brand campaigns: a launch film with Kraken, 17 films and shorts from one two-day shoot, and activations I directed from ETH Denver to Consensus Hong Kong. I’m annoyingly creative and (fun fact!) bought a Gmail invite on eBay in 2004.
What sponsors get
Eight placements. One very public job search. Every sponsor gets the same four things.
- On the résumé
- Your logo, in the placement you pick.
- On the portfolio
- Your logo and a link on starl3xx.fun/portfolio for six months. The title sponsor also gets “Presented by” at the top.
- On 𝕏 and LinkedIn
- A tag in my pinned launch posts (or a follow-up, if you join later), plus an announcement of your own on each.
- For good
- Your name and logo stay on this page after the campaign ends.
The campaign runs until I accept an offer or 90 days pass, whichever comes first, and the launch posts stay pinned for at least 30 days. If I’m hired early, the résumé stops going out; everything else keeps its schedule. Shout-outs in later updates are likely, but not promised.
By the numbers
Three sponsors. Five pieces of prime résumé real estate remain.
Sponsored résumés sent counts applications and outreach that included the sponsored edition, from launch on November 2, 2026. The grey number counts everything I’ve sent this job search, with either edition. Last updated November 2, 2026.

How it works
Four steps. No calls, no deck.
- Step 01
Pick a placement & pay
Send your name, website, X handle, and LinkedIn page, then pay with USDC on Base or a card, through Stripe. The placement is held while payment clears.
- Step 02
Send your logo
A one-color SVG, at checkout or by email to jakebouma@gmail.com. Every mark goes on in one color, yours or ink, so they all sit at the same weight.
- Step 03
I approve, you go up
Once payment is verified and I approve the sponsor, the placement is marked taken. Your logo goes on the résumé and the portfolio, and your announcements go out on 𝕏 and LinkedIn within two business days.
- Step 04
The résumé goes out
The sponsored edition travels through direct outreach and selected applications. Traditional application portals get the clean version. Both lead back to the portfolio.
- Who can’t sponsor
- Any company I’m applying to: you can’t sponsor me, but you can hire me. No memecoins or token launches.
- Exclusivity
- One sponsor per category.
- Declines
- I can turn down any sponsor. A declined order is refunded in full.
- Not an endorsement
- This is advertising space. A logo on the résumé isn’t an endorsement of the sponsor’s products or services.
- Disclosure
- The sponsored edition says it’s sponsored. That is the point.
- Payment
- USDC on Base, or card.
Questions
What do I actually get?
Four things: your logo in the placement you pick; your logo and a link on starl3xx.fun/portfolio for six months (the title sponsor also gets “Presented by” at the top); a tag in my pinned launch posts on 𝕏 and LinkedIn (or a follow-up, if you join later), plus an announcement of your own on each; and a permanent spot on this page.
Who sees the sponsored edition?
It goes out with my direct outreach and with selected applications. Traditional application portals get the clean version. Both lead back to the portfolio, where your logo also lives. The counters above say how many have gone out.
How long does it run?
Until I accept an offer or 90 days pass, whichever comes first. The launch posts stay pinned for at least 30 days, and your portfolio spot runs six months from approval.
What if you get hired next week?
Then the résumé stops going out, and everything else keeps its schedule: the portfolio spot, the launch posts, your announcements, and your place on this page. No partial refunds.
What kind of logo works?
A one-color SVG. Every mark on the résumé is one color: your brand color, or ink if you don’t name one. Gradients and fine shading don’t survive. Upload it at checkout or email it later, and tell me the color. I check every logo before it goes up.
Can I pay in crypto?
Yes: USDC on Base, through Stripe. Or a card. You get a receipt either way.
Can I buy more than one placement?
Yes. Each placement is its own order.
Is this a real job search?
Yes. I was laid off in October, and I’m looking for a brand and content leadership, creative production, or events role. If you’re hiring, skip the sponsorship and hit me up.
Backstory
I ran brand and content at Reserve until a company-wide team reduction in October 2026, and wrote copy at OKX before that.
The format is borrowed from Winny ↗, who sold the ad space on an Ironman bike she didn’t own yet. A résumé has less surface than a race kit, so this one sells the campaign as much as the page.
