Fever bot

Bot

Indiana Fever game recaps and news, cast to /fever on Farcaster: a fork-in-spirit of the Cubs bot with native inline video.

/fever on Farcaster
A Fever bot cast in the /fever Farcaster channel, reading “FINAL: Fever 106, Liberty 92” with top performers Kelsey Mitchell and Caitlin Clark, the team record, streak and conference rank, and a highlight video embedded inline.
A recap in /fever: top performers ranked by NBA Efficiency, highlight inline.

What it does

Game recaps
Final score plus top performers, ranked by NBA Efficiency, not raw points. Fever always listed first.
News
ESPN team-news headlines as article cards. Recaps and previews are dropped so the bot never duplicates its own casts.
Standings
Record, streak, and conference rank from wnba.com, degrading gracefully when the fetch fails.

How it works

  1. Polls the WNBA scoreboard for a Fever final, with a pending-games set to handle cross-day rollovers.
  2. Pulls the box score for per-player stats and ranks top performers by NBA Efficiency.
  3. HEAD-checks the WNBA media CDN for the clean 720p highlight mp4, typically live 45 minutes to 2 hours after the buzzer.
  4. TUS-uploads the H.264 mp4 straight to stream.farcaster.xyz (no re-encoding) and casts to /fever once the embed classifier confirms.
